SAP Basis Administrator

REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in SAP BASIS/Netweaver/ABAP Application Server monitoring and Administration.

• Familiar with SAP ECC/SCM/CRM/BW/BO/S4HANA and HANA environments.

• Expert in investigating and resolving issues related to system performance.

• Can document SAP processes, procedures, and plans; including changes, upgrades, and new services.

• Relevant SAP Certification would be a plus.

• Ability to work collaborate across team both from the business and information technology.

• Ability to work in a self-directed environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support SAP Landscape.

• SAP Portal full activities.

• Plan, install, setup and maintain OSs’ (Linux, AIX, Windows) for SAP and DB.

• Install, setup and maintain RDBMS for SAP.

• Plan and perform OS upgrades.

• Plan and perform RBDMS upgrades.

• Plan, install and setup SAP systems / new instances.

• Administering, tuning and troubleshooting SAP applications.

• Analyze and troubleshoot SAP systems performance issues.

• Plan and perform the Upgrades, Migration or Modernization of the workload.

• Backup and Recovery landscape.

• Monitoring whole landscape.

• General SAP Basis activities.

• Performance and Tuning on HANA database.

• Performance and Tuning on Oracle database.

• Involved and executed through full implementation lifecycles of SAP migrations.

• SAP Analytical Cloud / BTP activities.

• Work with Application and Technical teams to solve day to day operations incidents and requests.

• Define and drive best practices in BASIS processes. Measure and report performance KPIs. Plan and execute initiatives. Prepare and publish status reports and performance reports for operations and projects as applicable.

SKILLS

• SAP migrations projects experience in SAP basis technical domain using SAP tools SWPM.

• Strong SAP Basis foundation.

• Windows Server & Linux administration.

• Database knowledge (as Oracle/MS-SQL/DB2/Sybase/SAP HANA/MaxDB).

• HANA database upgrade and update.

• SAP Migration methodologies.

• Various SAP Migration tools and techniques used during SAP migrations.

• SAP HANA migrations (Optional).

• Experience of SAP migrations in heterogeneous and homogeneous environment.

• Strong background in technical analysis and requirements gathering and solid understanding of the SAP.

• SAPRouter support.

• SAP Web Dispatcher support.

• General SAP Basis skills and techniques.

• Problem solving, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to grasp new technologies.
