Senior QA engineer

Nauchsoft is an IT consulting and software development company. We have been in the IT business for 36 years and continue growing.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior QA Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented tester with extensive experience in application testing, large data set verification, API validation (including GraphQL), and database-level quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform manual functional and regression testing of web applications
• Design and execute complex test cases for data transformation and large-scale data processing scenarios
• Conduct API testing (REST and GraphQL), including validation of request/response schemas and error handling
• Verify backend data integrity through direct DB queries
• Report, track, and manage defects using JIRA and Zephyr
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, and PMs to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Contribute to test documentation and quality improvement initiatives

Required Skills and Experience:

• 6+ years of experience in manual testing of web applications
• Proven experience in testing data transformations, ETL pipelines, or large-scale data processing systems
• Strong skills in API testing, including GraphQL
• Hands-on experience with Zephyr, JIRA, and test management best practices
• Solid understanding of SQL and ability to write complex queries for backend verification
• Experience with BDD and writing test cases in Gherkin syntax
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently
• English level: B2 or higher (confident communication with the team and stakeholders)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of Chemistry/Biology (ChemBio domain) is a plus
• Experience in Agile development environments
• Familiarity with JSON, XML, and Postman
• Understanding of end-to-end (E2E) testing approaches
